Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki was born on June 29, 1960 in Shawinigan. He completed school in Trois-Rivières where he obtained a secondary school diploma.
Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki enlisted on 17 January 1977 in the Canadian Armed forces with the 62e Régiment d’Artillerie de Campagne. He completed his recruit course on 29 May 1977 and qualified basic artilleryman training on 22 July 1977. He has been employed in 81st Battery, 185th Battery and the Headquarters and Services Battery.
During his career, Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki has been employed as a Technician at both the Command Post and with the Forward Observation Officer; Driver, Communicator, Detachment Commander, Quartermaster, Transport and Signals Sergeant. He has also been employed as Troop Sergeant Major in 81st Battery and Battery Sergeant Major of 185th Battery and the Headquarters and Services Battery as well as the Standards Warrant. Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki has deployed twice with the United Nations. In the summer of 1980 with X Battery of the 5e Régiment d’Artillerie Légère du Canada (Valcartier) and in January 1982 with the 3rd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (Shilo). Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki is the first Regimental Sergeant Major of the 62e Régiment d’Artillerie de Campagne to have reached that position without having spent any time in the Regular Force. Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki has was promoted on 19 September 2007.
In his civilian life, Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki has been employed with the Mauricie Dairy as driver-deliveryman from 1987 to 1989. In May 1989, he was transferred to the Parmalait and Nestlé Company in Berthierville as driver-deliveryman, a position that he continues to occupy.
Chief Warrant Officer Paprocki lives with his life partner, Miss Marie Andrée Leblanc de Louiseville.
