Colonel J.C.R. Lacroix, CD

DArtyColonel Lacroix enrolled in the Canadian Forces on 19 November 1975.

He has occupied various regimental command and staff positions including Battery Commander of X Battery, 5e Régiment d'artillerie légère du Canada; Detachment Commander Yukon Territories and Commanding Officer of 5e Régiment d'artillerie légère du Canada, Canadian Forces Base Valcartier. Staff appointments include Executive Assistant to Deputy Commander Force Mobile Command; Base Operations Officer Canadian Forces Base Shilo; G1Land Force Western Area; Director Land Force Readiness 5, Land Force Command; J3 International 1, National Defence Headquarters and most recently Chief Of Staff, Land Force Atlantic Area. He is currently employed as Director Land Personnel Management, the G1 of the Army in addition to his appointment as the Director of Artillery. Colonel Lacroix has completed various operational tours to include four years with 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, Germany, Cyprus, Haiti, and East Timor.

Colonel Lacroix enjoys all sports and is a wanna be hockey player and golfer. His enjoys all types of music particularly blues and classical and enjoys reading mystery novels and Canadian history as well as traveling.
