L5 Howitzer
The 105mm pack howitzer, designed and manufactured in Italy in the late 1960's was the artillery support weapon for the Airborne Regiment within the Canadian Armed Forces. The howitzer was capable of both high and low angle fire with a maximum range of 10,000 M. Minimizing weight and bulk, the gun could be moved to and within the combat zone by air transport, helicopter or towed by vehicles. It used standard high explosive, illumination, smoke and anti-tank ammunition.

This L5 Howitzer is mounted in the town of Petawawa in the City Park.
