Honorary Colonel Guy Laflamme
of 6th Field Artillery Regiment

HCol LaflammeColonel (H) Guy Laflamme was born in Levis, on May 6, 1937. He undertook traditional studies at the Jean-de-Brébeuf College in Montreal and at Sacré-Cœur University in Bathurst, New Brunswick, where he took part in the ROTC program. He finished his higher education in administration in 1959 at Laval University. In addition, he holds an honorary diploma of Hautes Études Commerciales.

Colonel (H) Laflamme had a long career in the industrial world where he occupied positions of director or president of various organizations. Meanwhile, he was president of the Council for the Employers of Quebec from 1999 to 1994, member of the Organization of the industrial development of the United Nations and director of Quebec 2002. In addition, he was mayor of Sainte-Croix de Lobinière from 1973 to 1975 and from 1977 to 1979. Today, he is the president of the council and the chief of administration of Industries de la Rive Sud ltée and the president of the American subsidiary company, South Shore Industries Inc.

Colonel (H) Laflamme is married to Mrs Marthe Vaillancourt and they have 5 children; Jean, Jacques, Marc, Richard and Marie-Josée.
