Captain Nichola Kathleen Sarah Goddard

Capt Nichola Goddard Captain Nichola Kathleen Sarah Goddard of the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery was killed in action, Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in the Panjway district, Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Nichola was born on May 2, 1980, in Madang, Papua New Guinea. Nichola is mourned by her husband, Jason Beam, of Shilo, Manitoba; her parents Tim and Sally Goddard; and sisters Victoria and Kate, of Calgary, Alberta; grandparents Betty Goddardand the late Anthony Goddard (Llangwnnadl, North Wales) and Michael and Kathleen West (Sault Ste Marie, Ontario). On her father's side, uncles Simon (Heather) Goddard, Aberdaron, North Wales; Paul (Janet, Rachel, Jack), Rainham, Kent; Patrick, Colwyn Bay, North Wales; and Michael (Corinne, Sebastian), Croydon, Surrey. On her mother's side, aunts Elizabeth (David, Alistair, Andrew), Winnipeg, Manitoba; Alison (Jeff, Luke, Clare, Sophie), Arnprior, Ontario; Hilary (Patrick, Sarah, Hannah, Rebecca, Patrick Jr.), Clarksburg, West Virginia; and Fiona (Bill, Tess), Doha, Qatar. Nichola leaves many relatives, Friends and colleagues around the world, all of whom she touched with her laughter and her smile.
