Eastern Ontario Gunners Association
Reunion 2008, 19-21 September 2008

The Eastern Ontario Gunners Association was honoured to have the Colonel Commandant of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, Brigadier General (Retired) Ernie Beno, OMM, CD attend our reunion and make some presentations to some of our outstanding members.
















The Colonel Commandant's Commendation was awared to Dave Morris for his sevice and dedication. The commendation reads:

Dave Morris is hereby commended for exceptional service and unselfish dedication to the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery through his continuing efforts in maintaining a network of serving and retired Gunners. His leadership of the Eastern Ontario Gunners Association has provided an invaluable venue for Gunners to keep in contact with the Artillery family. His efforts have greatly enhanced morale and cohesion in the Royal Regiment. His leadership and hard work has put action to the often heard phrase “Once a Gunner, always a Gunner.”

Jim Hemlin, President of the Eastern Ontario Gunners Association, received the Colonel Commandant's coin.










A fine cast of speakers made themselves available to present at the reunion dinner.
