Bombardier Jérémie Ouellet , 22, a member of the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery based in Shilo, Man., was found dead Tuesday in the sleeping quarters at Kandahar Airfield. The circumstances of his death are currently under investigation by the National Investigative Service and as such we will make no comment in that regard.

Captain Jeff Francis , 36, 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery based in Shilo, Manitoba was one of six Canadian soldiers killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device near Kandahar City on July 4, 2007. The incident occurred while the soldiers were returning from conducting joint operations with the Afghan National Army.
Captain Nichola Goddard , 26, of the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery was killed in action, Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in the Panjway district, Kandahar, Afghanistan. Capt Goddard was engaged in a significant operation, one in which Canadian soldiers were in support of Afghan authorities, when she was killed. That operation was a clearance operation by Afghan security personnel in Kandahar province north of the Arghandab River and west of Kandahar City.
Bombardier Myles Mansell , 25, of 5th (British Columbia) Field Regiment, Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery along with three other Canadian soldiers were killed when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device near Gumbad, approximately 75 kilometres north of Kandahar on April 21, 2006.
Lieutenant William Turner , 45, of Headquarters, Land Force Western Area, along with three other Canadian soldiers were killed when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device near Gumbad, approximately 75 kilometres north of Kandahar on April 21, 2006. Lieutenant Turner was a former member of 11th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery.
