It is with heavy heart
that I share the news of the passing of Bdr Jeremie Ouellet yesterday. His
comrades in theatre will say farewell to him shortly and the mechanisms are
being put in place to ensure that he is received here in Canada with due
respect and dignity that he deserves. His family is coping with the sudden
news and this Regiment is committed to their well being.
He leaves behind a father, mother, brother and sister in Matane, PQ and
another brother who is a Cpl from 1er Bn R22er. The BC (Maj Vieveen) in
theatre ensures me that the chain of command is taking good care of the
troops deployed as well. They are coping with the loss as well as can be
expected and will be closely monitored so that their needs are met.
Our thoughts prayers and above all - our actions will be focused on the
family.
T.J. Bishop
Lieutenant-Colonel
Commanding Officer
